Bugün Hürriyet gazetesinden Eyüp Can’ın “Diplomat olabilecekken militanlığı seçen kız” başlıklı köşe yazısı önemli bir konuya parmak basıyor. Okumayanlar için makalenin giriş bölümünü hatırlayalım:

Biri kız diğeri erkek, ikisi de Kürt. Öğrencilik boyunca yedikleri içtikleri ayrı gitmemiş. Aynı kampusta birbirlerine dokunmadan tam dört yıl süren çok derin bir dostluk kurmuşlar. En çok da doğal olarak Kürt sorununu tartışmışlar. Biraz platonik, biraz utangaç bir aşk bile yaşamışlar. * * * Mezuniyet günü gelmiş çatmış. Erkeğin hayali diplomat olmak, kız hayalsiz... Aslında var bir hayali ama o güne kadar cesaret edip hayatta en sevdiği erkeğe bile söyleyememiş. Diplomasını aldığı gün tüm cesaretini toplayıp arkadaşının kulağına eğilmiş... “Ben bu akşam Ankara’dan ayrılıyorum...” Nereye? “Dağa...”
ODTÜ gibi Türkiye’nin en güzel ve en önemli üniversitesinde okuyan iki genç. İkisi de Kürt kökenli, her ikisi de Türkiye’nin en iyi okullarında okumuşlar, kimse kendilerine sen Kürtsün dememiş. Her ikisi de çok önemli mevki ve makamlara gelebilecekken erkek diplomat olmayı, kız dağa çıkıp terörist olmayı tercih etmiş. Katıldığı terörist örgütün söylemi ne? Kürtler eziliyor, hakları yeniyor, Kürtlere özgürlük, Kürtlere eşitlik….
İkisi de aynı köken ve ortamda yetişmişler aynı okulu okumuşlar ikisine de aynı imkânlar tanınmış. Biri diplomat diğeri terörist olmuş.
PKK terörünün temelinde yörenin sosyo-ekonomik şartlarının yattığını iddia edenlerin dikkate alması gereken ilginç bir örnek olduğunu düşünüyorum.
Bu olay bana yıllar önceki bir anımı hatırlattı:
Yeni Forum Dergisi yazı işleri müdürüyüm, mutat sohbet toplantılarımızın birinde Ankara’da görevli bir rektör dostumuz karşılaştığı ilginç bir olayı anlattı. Diplomat Türkiye’nin NATO Daimi Temsilciğinde çalışmaktadır. Üniversite tahsili sırasında yüzlerce eyleme iştirak ettiğini bildiği için rektör dostumuz olaya bir anlam verememiştir. Dönüşte bunu Dışişleri Bakanlığı yetkililerine bildirdiği zaman aldığı cevap daha da ilginçtir: “Önemli değil hocam biz onu aramızda eritiriz”. Sıradan bir temsilcilik, elçilik olsa neyse; terörist eylemci tamamen karşı olduğu NATO gibi bir örgütün Brüksel’deki temsilciliğinde çalışmaktadır. Bu bir hoşgörü müdür, yoksa salaklık derecesinde bir vurdumduymazlık mıdır? Artık siz karar verin.
Yıllardır devletin yönetim merkezinde görev yapıyorum. En önemli mevkilere bazen ihtiyaca binaen diğer kurumlardan personel isteriz. Birini gönderirler, adam göreve başlar hem de ne görev? Türkiye’deki terörün fakirlik, ezilmişlik ve yoklukla ilgisi yoktur. Eğer öyle olsa Yozgat, Çankırı, Kastamonu, Gümüşhane’nin ve daha birçok Anadolu yurttaşının elinde silah dağda gezmesi gerekirdi. Bu insanların çoğunun bırakınız işi, yiyecek yemeği bile yok.
Türkiye’de insan hakları problemi, gelir dağılımı bozukluğu, işsizlik, adaletsizlik, siyasi yolsuzluklar gibi birçok problemimiz var. Evet var ve bu problemler belirli etnik azınlıklara özgü değil, bütün Türkiye Cumhuriyeti vatandaşları için geçerli. Halkın bütününü ilgilendiren bu sorunları etnik gruplara mal etmeden demokrasi adına çözmek yerine eline silah alıp dağa çıkmak, sizce çözüme mi yoksa çözümsüzlüğe mi katkı sağlar?
Bir sorunu çözmek için iyi niyetle yapıcı görüşmelerde bulunduğunuzu düşünün, bir diğeri o sırada gelip “hak aramak adına” sizin çocuğunuzu vurup öldürüyor. Ne yaparsınız? Bu bir hak arama eylemi olabilir mi? Böyle bir eylem iyi niyet yolunda atılmış bütün adımları çöpe atar, provokasyondur, savaşı kızıştırır. Türkiye’de yaşanan budur. Birileri bu eylemleri yıllardır desteklemekte ve körüklemektedir. Bu işin yörede yaşayanların sosyo-ekonomik şartları ile bir alakası yoktur. Yörede yaşayan, aç ve yardıma muhtaç insanlar olduğu gibi, milyarder ve hiçbir şeye ihtiyacı olmayan insanlar da vardır; tıpkı, Türkiye’nin diğer bölgelerinde olduğu gibi. Başkent Ankara’nın 35 km. dışına çıkın insanların güneydoğudaki vatandaşlardan farklı yaşamadıklarını görürsünüz; tek şansları otobüse bindiklerinde yarım saat sonra başkentin merkezinde olabilmeleridir, eğer bu bir şanssa…
Bu mesele izah ederek, tartışarak, insanları ikna ederek halledilebilecek bir mesele değildir. Bu eylemler devletin yanlış teşhis ve demokrasi açıklarından yararlanarak topyekun kalkışma hareketi haline dönüşmüştür. Devlet güneydoğu halkına özerklik tanıyamayacağına göre, devlet Silahlı Kuvvetlerini terhis edip silah bırakamayacağına göre böyle salakça çözüm yollarının tartışılmasının gereği yoktur.
Teröristlerin başından başlayarak tümünün derhal idam edilmesi ve devlete karşı ayaklanan insanlara gereken cevabın verilmesi lazımdır.
İdam cezasının AB hukukuna aykırı olduğu söyleyenlere ise verilebilecek bir tek cevabım var:
