	Başyazı, Ömer Lütfi Kanburoğlu, Bir Şehir Efsanesi / A city legend Bir Şehir Efsanesi Bir insanın yaşamından değerli bir şeyi yoksa, o insanın yaşamının da değeri yoktur. Tagore Geçtiğimiz gün Ali Elverdi’nin vefatı dolayısı ile gündeme gelen bir şehir efsanesi hakkında birkaç şey söylemek istiyorum. Deniz Gezmiş, Yusuf Aslan ve Hüseyin İnan 6 Mayıs 1972’de idam edildiler. Peki, suçları idam edilmelerini gerektiriyor muydu? Bugünün kanunlarına bakarsak elbette hayır… Hatta bugün aynı eylemleri yapsalar kimse kendilerini ciddiye bile almaz, muhtemelen adlarını bile bilen olmazdı. İdamları üzerinden 38 sene geçmiş olmasına rağmen neydi onları bu kadar gündemde tutan? İdam edildikleri zaman ben 12 yaşındaydım, yakalandıklarını radyodan dinlemiştik heyecanla… Küçüktüm, bir şeyler oluyordu. O zamanlar Ankara, Maltepe’de oturuyorduk. Namık Kemal Ortaokulu’na gidiyordum. Olaylar, eylemler… Kafam pek basmıyordu, daha büyümemiştim. Hiç unutmuyorum bir çocuk konserve kutusuna ayağı ile vurmuş ve kutu patlamış çocuk yaralanmıştı. O zaman öğrendim yolda duran her şeye vurulmayacağını. Birileri terör ortamı yaratmak istiyordu ama sebebini soran yoktu. Deniz Gezmiş ve arkadaşları banka soyuyor, silahlı eylem yapıp okul basıyor, işgal ediyor, ABD’li askerleri kaçırıp rehin alıyor ve bütün bunları Türkiye’de Marksist-Leninist bir devrim yapmak amacı ile gerçekleştiriyorlardı. Deniz Gezmiş, eylemlerine destek olması amacı ile 1969’da Filistin’e gitti. Hani, bugün Türkiye’de insanların yere göğe sığdıramadığı Filistin var ya, oraya. Arkadaşları ile beraber gittiği Filistin’de El-Fetih kamplarında silahlı eğitim görüp devrim yapmak amacı ile Türkiye’ye geri geldi. FKÖ o tarihlerde El-Fetih gerilla kamplarında Türkleri eğitip bize devrim ihraç etmeye çalışıyordu. Filistin’e giden gençler El-Fetih kamplarında eğitim görüp bavullar dolusu silah eşliğinde Türkiye’ye gelip devrim hayalleri kuruyorlardı. Deniz Gezmiş ve arkadaşlarının hiç kimseyi öldürmediğini, asılmalarının cinayet olduğunu savunanlara şunu sormak istiyorum: Bugün Türkiye’de Abdullah Öcalan’ın idam edilmesini isteyen kaç kişi vardır; bir referandum yapsak muhtemelen %80 evet oyu çıkacaktır. Peki, Abdullah Öcalan eline silah alıp kaç kişiyi öldürmüştür? Hiç… İşte böyle bir şeydir, devrim hayali… Başarırsanız kahraman, başaramazsanız idam! Türkiye’de silahlı bir devrim yapma şansınız yüzde kaçtır acaba? Bence Türk insanının silahlı devrim, hele Marksist-Leninist bir devrim yapma ihtimali %0,1 bile değildir. Bu hayallerin peşinde koşanlar sayesinde güvenlik güçleri Türk solunun üzerinden dozer gibi geçmiştir. Geldiğimiz noktada bu tip hayaller ülkede bırakın solu, sosyal demokrat bile kalmamasına halkın siyasi tercihinin merkeze kaymasına yol açmıştır. Türk insanının genlerinde isyan, başkaldırma yok, tevekkül var. Görmüyor musunuz? Bu millet yıllardır dünyanın en pahalı elektriğini, doğal gazını, suyunu, benzinini, mazotunu v.s. kullanıyor ama gıkını bile çıkarmıyor. Bu milletin gösterdiği tevekkül yüzünden yük hayvanları işsiz kaldı. Sayın Elverdi’nin cenazesi üzerine bir başka efsane ortaya atıldı “Deniz yaşasa imiş Başbakan olurmuş”. Ben size söyleyeyim Deniz Gezmiş yaşasa idi ne olacağını: Türkiye’de binlerce Deniz yaşıyor üstelik hem ülkücü, hem de devrimci… Ne oldular biliyor musunuz? Hiç. Unutuldular, kimse isimlerini bile hatırlamıyor. Onlar inandıkları dava uğruna geleceklerini heba ettiler, dürüst insanlardı. Bugünün idealistleri gibi hırsız ve sahtekâr değillerdi. Onun için artık adlarını anan yok, kahve köşelerinde gün sayıyorlar. Kimse hatırlamıyor onları.
