Türkiye ciddi bir iç savaş sendromu içine girdi. Herkes birbirine "ülkenin sonu ne olacak" diye soruyor. Terör örgütü PKK'nın hükümetle pazarlığa girişerek masaya oturması, özerklik ve Abdullah Öcalan'ın serbest bırakılması talepleri, doğu illerinde giderek artan gerginlik ve asayiş zaafı insanları "iç savaş" sendromuna soktu. Bırakın doğu illerini, Batı'da bile insanlar kendi güvenlikleri için "silahlanmak" gerektiğini düşünmeye başladılar. İnsanların sosyo-ekonomik durumlarının giderek kötüleşmesi, hak ve hukuk kavramlarının yok edilip, adalet mekanizmasının çöpe atılarak devletin zayıf duruma düşürülmesi bu tablonun en somut nedeni.
Asıl tehlike Eskiden Türkiye farklı kuvvetler ayrılığına sahipti. Devletin işleyişi böyle olduğu gibi, ayrıca vatandaşlar da farklı siyasi görüşlere sahip ve birbirleri ile tartışma ve çekişme halindeydiler. Şimdi ise ülke hırsızlar ve diğerleri diye ikiye ayrıldı ve buna bir şey diyen, diyebilen bir mekanizma yok.
İnsanlar PKK'nın kucağına itiliyor Cumhurbaşkanlığı seçimini hatırlayınız; seçmenler oy vermeyecek olsa bile Selahattin Demirtaş'ın konuşmalarını doğru ve yerinde buluyordu. Bahar aylarında bir iç savaş çıksa bu savaşın bir tarafı olacağına kesin gözü ile bakılan PKK terör örgütüne insanların bırakın bir şey demeyi, destek olması bile mümkün. Vatandaş "bana ne, ben ne diye mücadele edeceğim" diyor. Sıradan vatandaş "benim dikili ağacım yok, ne olursa olsun, düzeni korumak ile yolsuzluğu, hırsızlığı korumak aynı şey" diye düşünmeye başladı. Bu çok tehlikeli bir noktadır.
